October General Membership Meeting

Our October 2016 General Membership meeting will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11 AM. We will be meeting at the Democratic Party HQ at 699 Washington Boulevard in Roseville, California.

Our featured speaker will be Randi Swisley, President of the Placer County League of Women voters and she will be discussing the myriad of propositions on the upcoming ballot.

We will also be discussing our upcoming staffing of an election precinct as well as plans for the upcoming holiday season.

So join us Saturday for a great learning opportunity. See you there!

Rob Rowen, candidate for California Senate District 1

Candidate for California Senate District 1, Rob Rowen, will visit Placer County Latino Democratic Club (PCLDC) to discuss his candidacy and issue affecting the people who live in this largely rural district. There will be a question/answer period where you can interact with Rob Rowen and discuss your concerns and share your points of view.

Our meeting will run from 11 AM to 1 PM.  Afterwards, we will have some of the Mexican Pizza prepared by our friends at Fast Freddy’s Pizza & Pasta (a Latino-owned business).

March 2016 General Membership meeting

Our March 2016 General Membership meeting is scheduled for Saturday March 12, 2016.
Citizen’s Climate Lobby

A speaker from Citizens’ Climate Lobby will provide a presentation on their organization along with their efforts to organize against climate change.

As always, we will be meeting at Fast Freddy’s Pizza & Pasta, 130 Main St. in Roseville. The meeting starts at 11 AM and runs until 1 PM. Pizza to follow!

June 2014 General Membership Meeting

Hello PCLDC Members,

Our June 2014 General Membership meeting will be held on
Saturday, June 14, 2014 10 AM to 12 Noon.

Attached, is an agenda for the meeting and the minutes from last month’s meeting. Please review these documents. Please print out a copy of them if you would like to have one at the meeting.

This will be a busy meeting!!

Our featured speaker will be Randi Swisley, President, League of Women Voters, Placer County.

Club Officers
Our club will be electing new officers for the next two-year terms. We will introduce the Executive Board’s Recommendations for the club’s elected positions. Nominations from the floor will be entertained at the meeting.

Annual Dues
Annual dues will be collected at the General Membership meeting. Annual dues are $15 /person or $20/ Family (up to four).

Roosevelt-Kennedy Dinner

The Placer County Democratic Party is holding the Roosevelt-Kennedy Dinner 2014 on Friday May 16, 2014 at 6 PM.  The dinner will be held at the Orchard Creek Lodge Ballroom, 965 Orchard Creek Lane, Lincoln, California.

This is going to be a great event!

The keynote speaker will be Daraka Larimore-Hall, Secretary of the California Democratic Party. The featured speaker will be Raquel Simental, Public Affairs Director, Planned Parenthood.

This is a great opportunity to meet your fellow Democrats and discuss current topics, old topics, upcoming topics or no topics at all!

Placer People of Faith Together (PPOFT) visits with PCLDC

On Saturday, January 11, 2014, Flora Csontos of Placer People of Faith Together visited our General Membership meeting and spoke of PPOFT’s mission and accomplishments.

Of particular interest, was PPOFT’s work regarding immigrants (documented and undocumented).

Our Club is dedicated to supporting candidates (especially Latino candidates) who support the Democratic Agenda that is promoted by the state and national Democratic party.
2014 is going to be an important year when it comes to issues that affect the Latino community. The Placer County Latino Democratic Club needs help from voters like you to ensure that your voice is heard on issues including  Immigration Reform, the Affordable Care Act, and basic Civil Rights.
We are based in Roseville and meet on every second Saturday of the month.
Our next meeting will he held on Saturday January 11, 2013 from 10 AM until 12 noon. Our featured speaker will be Flora Csontos of Placer People of Faith Together, who will speak on Immigration Reform.
