We have recently elected a new president. Unless we experience a truly unexpected series of events, Donald Trump will be sworn in as President on January 20, 2017. With this recent election, we’ve seen many hate-inspired actions and events throughout the United States. Despite the outcome of the election. We will continue forward and hold our scheduled general membership meeting on Saturday, November 12, 2016.
We will be meeting at 11 AM at Fast Freddy’s Pizza & Pasta, 130 Main St, Roseville CA (our old stomping grounds).
We will be discussing our upcoming events and planning our agenda for the 2017 calendar year.
Our party has long been the supporter of the disadvantaged. Over the next four years, our efforts will be needed more than ever before, to ensure that we speak LOUDLY for those who can’t speak for themselves.
Stop by our meeting and help us plan the future.
The election has started. Vote-by-mail ballots started going on Monday October 10th. So people are already casting votes.
Last month, the Placer County Latino Democratic Club (PCLDC) and its members stepped WAY up to participate in a variety of events including:
- Preparing the party slate cards / doorhangers
- Canvassing in support of PCLDC member Brian Caples for Assembly
- Phone banking in support of PCLDC founding member Rene Aguilera
- Registering voters at the New Citizens swearing-in ceremony in Sacramento
- Helping the Bob Derlet for Congress campaign
Over the next two weeks, we will transition from a voter registration mode to a Get Out The Vote (GOTV) mode in an effort to get our supporters to the polls and voting for our fine Democratic candidates. Starting this week, we will be helping the Derlet and Caples campaigns by participating in their ongoing regular phone banks.
On TUESDAYS, stop by the Placer Democratic Headquarters (699 Washington Boulevard Roseville, CA) between 4 PM and 6 PM to help the Caples For Assembly team.
On Wednesdays, stop by the same Placer Democratic Headquarters (699 Washington Boulevard Roseville, CA) between 4 PM and 6 PM to help the Bob Derlet for Congress campaign.
Helping to spread the word about these fine Democratic candidates is how we can help them win. When they win, the people win.
Contact us to participate.
This Saturday, September 17, 2016, we will be joining Brian Caples for Assembly campaign in a Walk For Justice.
